I live in Tucson, Arizona, and I'm currently the editor of Colorez!, southern Arizona's GLBTS newsmagazine. I've also had my writing or photography appear in a few other local papers, including the Desert Times, Saguaro News, Pima College's Aztec Press, and the Tucson Citizen.

Liz and I have been married since 1995, and in 2006 we bought a nice home in the desert, on an acre of land due south of the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum. We've been in the Tucson area since the start of 2005.

I was born in California and lived most of my life there. Liz and I created Idyll Mountain Internet in 1995, and we ran it together until 2005, providing web services for small businesses and community groups. I was also on the board of the HTML Writers Guild for a number of years, and saw it grow into a large and successful organization, before ultimately merging with another group of web developers. My focus in web design was teaching web developers how to create web sites which are accessible by people with disabilities. I've also contributed to several books on web design, including writing both editions of Teach Yourself CSS in 24 Hours.

In my spare time, I take photographs, create roleplaying games, read comics, and play World of Warcraft.

One thing I haven't been open about before is my struggle with Attention Deficit Disorder. In 2006, I was diagnosed with ADD, but my symptoms go back throughout my whole life. Knowing this is both helpful and frightening at once. The diagnosis explains why I've had many problems all my life, including depression and problems at school and work. It's also scary to come to terms with a cognitive disability that went unrecognized for so many years, and to realize that it will affect me the rest of my life. But I'm happier now, because I know what's wrong, and it can be managed.
